New to CEVO? Getting Started
If you are new to CEVO, this page will help you get to know us and learn how our system works.
What is CEVO?
Everyone is talking about it! But, what is it?
We are the CyberEvolution (CEVO). CEVO hosts online video-game events such as tournaments, qualifiers, promotions, and leagues. Since opening in 2003, CEVO has awarded over $150,000 in cash and prizes to competitors.
CEVO currently has over 40,000 registered members across North America and Australia.
What is an event?
What's going on?
At any given time CEVO is usually hosting at least a few events. An event is a single tournament, qualifier, promotion, or league and is associated with one or more game(s).
To see what events are going on right now, check out each game page on the front of the CEVO website at www.cevo.com. Each page will feature news and details about new or on-going events.
In the past CEVO has hosted events for Counter-Strike, Warcraft 3, Defense of the Ancients, Call of Duty 2, and Quake 4. We plan on hosting events for additional computer and console games in the near future!
How do I sign-up?
I want to be a part of this!
You will need to create a user account, to do so go to the CEVO registration page.
When you login at the website with your account, you will be sent to the User Control Panel which gives you access to everything you need.
You can create or join teams for an event through the User Control Panel by clicking on 'Manage Teams'. Teams are required for all events. In the case of a 1-on-1 tournament there would be only 1 player on the team roster.
New teams can be created only during 'Team Registration Period', which may be limited. Likewise, players can only join teams at certain times. Each event has its own guidelines, which you can see on each event's webpage.
Events may be free to join, or may require a registration fee. The sign-up process will indicate to you if a payment is needed. All payments are managed through PayPal.com.
If you are ever looking for something, start by going to the User Control Panel, it has lots of features!
Customer Support?
I need some help!
For Project Gamer, live customer support is available Monday through Thursday from 5:30 PM to 1:30 AM CST (Central Standard Time). At all other times, you can leave an 'offline message' which will be responded to by e-mail within a day.
Additional customer support options, such as Ventrilo and IRC, are available to players for certain events. See an event page for details.
