Team Fortress 2 Season 2 Registration Extended - September 11th Deadline

With OCZ Technology coming on board to sponsor Season 2 of Team Fortress 2, we have decided to extend team registration to Thursday, September 11th to give teams one last chance to participate in this exciting event.

With that said, preseason will begin as scheduled with the first matches being played on Thursday, September 11th. An additional week of preseason is being added to account for the extended registration period. As stated below, team rosters will remain open for the duration of the preseason for any teams that may still need to make changes. And remember both our CEVO-A and CEVO-P divisions are 100% FREE.

If you are new to CEVO you will need to download and install the CMN3. You must be running the CMN3 during all matches. You can download the CMN3 here: http://cevo.com/index.php?page=account&func=cmn.

Map Rotation:

Preseason 1 - cp_stag
Preseason 2 - cp_fallout_l

Week 1 - cp_pro_granary
Week 2 - cp_junction
Week 3 - cp_fastlane
Week 4 - cp_gravelpit
Week 5 - cp_badlands
Week 6 - cp_well
Week 7 - cp_pro_granary
Week 8 - cp_gravelpit

OOW - cp_well

OOW (Out of Week) makeup matches are scheduled when two teams need makeups from different weeks and have no one to play against that has a FF on the same map. Teams that are scheduled OOW matches throughout the season are allowed to play on any map that the two teams can agree on. If the two teams cannot agree on a specific map, then cp_well will be used.

Roster Locks:

Rosters will remain open all throughout the preseason until Thursday, September 18th. After the regular season begins, rosters will be open every week from 12:00 AM Friday - 11:59 PM Sunday PST. Remember, any time the rosters are locked we will NOT move you from one roster to another UNLESS your opponent(s) approve.

Updated Server Configs:

Please make sure that you have the updated server configs uploaded to your private servers, there have been a few changes since our last season. You can download the updated server configs here: http://cevo.com/FILES/cevo_tf2_server_configs.zip.

This map list needs to be looked over and redone. CP_pro_granary is not a good map as it forces teams to run the vanilla 2 scout, 2 soldier, 1 demo lineup in order to get to mid quickly. Just because the Euros love this map doesn\'t mean the American teams do, the new granary is unique in that it is the only push map where teams dont fight before the round starts.

Fastlane still has issues as well as the last point is too difficult to take and rounds turn into stalemates at this point. If you lose middle, there is virtually zero chance of pushing back. The map is almost good, but spawn times or something need tweaked.

pro_granary is retarded, bring back the real granary.

stag is mediocre and fallout is poor

please replace them with better maps thanks in advance

also the least you could do is run one instance of both versions of granary to please all sides

i agree with the above posts.

sub in dustbowl for fastlane

I like both versions of granary, but fallout and fastlane are junk. Having a ctf map like turbine or something might not be bad. I scrimmed dustbowl last night and I prefer it with more players.

It\'s nice not having to waste 5-6 rockets getting to mid of cp_granary. Also, good riddance to dustbowl imo.

I think it would be nice to not have 2 of the same map, ie: pro_granary. It would be better to put dustbowl back in or at least the regular cp_granary. Repeats shouldn\'t happen when there are so many maps.
