AMD and SAPPHIRE have agreed to provide sponsorship for CEVO’s sixth season of Counter-Strike Source, the event will run from mid April through June of 2008, and will feature $15,000 in cash and hardware prizes. The sponsorship demonstrates AMD’s and SAPPHIRE’s long-standing commitment to support the competitive gaming “eSports” community.

Congrats to CEVO as well as AMD & Sapphire gaming is only going to continue to grow with the younger generation being introduced earlier and earlier to games, this is the driving force behind the need for bigger better and faster hardware.
Its good to see companies taking part and giving back to the community that supports them the most.
I look forward to purchasing many new computer products in the future and things like this will definitely influence my purchases. Why would I buy from a company that is in it to pocket money or just help them to support another big business rather then go out and spend money on a company that will give back to the hobbies and things that I like best. :)
